Ok, as a quick post, because I've had a truly busy week.
I decided to tell you about a couple of things.
1. Quick Drafts: I've searched and searched for that app which is a "quick pad and pen", or the quick "post it note and pen", to scribble down something before I forget it. Voice notes is useful, but sometimes I just want something reminscent of the past, a little notebook, of which I have 20 just waiting for someone from a different century to take note of and cherish them. Just a quick jot of a phone number, time, etc. Well, of all I've tried, Quick Drafts is the winner. It is quick...which is number one on the list of requirements. One touch and the blank page is there. Two, it is simple. You are not distracted with tons of options, we are not writing the Illyad or drawing the Mona Lisa here, just a quick note to remember. Three, you can email it or message it making it portable for your calender, or sharing it with a friend. Four, it automoatically saves it in a quick reference list, making available, even if you didn't actually want to save it or not.
2. I'm slow to the game, as usual, and on VINE, I kept seeing the reference to "What did the Fox say?" I left it alone, as usual, but then my second grader says that her teacher remarked that she couldn't get the song out of her head. One quick Google later, and here we are listening to song. The song that won't leave my head. The song that reminds me why the B52's became popular with Love Shack, Rock Lobster, and Quiche Lorraine. Obtusely simple lyrics, a catchy sound and funny dance moves. Formula from the beginning of time, one that proves despite American Idol, success has nothing to do with talent and fame. at least sometimes.
3. Conversations with a three year old.
Sophia: Ms. Becki do you know that the sun is full of fire?
Me: Yes, I did, Sophia.
Sophia: If you get too close, you'll fire up.
Sophia: Yes, just like a smore.
Sophia: Ms. Becki, are there monsters in your house?
Me: NO, of course not, because Anna is here and she scares away all the monsters.
Sophia: Even the werewolves (coming from a movie)?
Me: Yes, even werevolves.
Sophia: Would she kill them?
Me: Only if necessary!
Sophia: Oh, OK, we can go to sleep now.
Me: Yes, we can, Yes, we can!
