You didn't ask, but...

Found this on Mama's Losin' It

What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was eight and a half months pregnant with Molly, chasing a 19-month-old Cullen. I was eagerly anticipating my first homebirth, and the visits from my mother and sister.

Five Snacks I Enjoy
~Cookies of every size, shape and kind
~Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia
~Pretzels and mustard
~Popcorn with White Cheddar Topping
~Sharp cheddar, brie, havarti, swiss, smoked gouda, you get the idea.

Five Things On My To Do List Today
~Pay bills.
~Do at least six loads of laundry.
~Read The Tale of Despereaux to the kids.
~Post on my blog.
~Make cookies.

Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
~Have or adopt more children
~Pay back all the money I owe
~Build a wonderful house with an art studio and a HUGE kitchen
~Travel to Paris, Tibet, and Tuscany among other places.
~Be a pastry chef for a few years.

Five jobs that I have had:
1. Tour guide for the US Military in Berlin (I was working in East Berlin when the wall came down)
2. Picture framer
3. Real estate agent
4. Doula
5. Labor & Delivery / Newborn Nursery Nurse

Five of my bad habits:
1. Junk food.
2. Swearing.
3. Losing my temper.
4. Impulse shopping.
5. Not finishing projects.

Five places I have lived:
1. McComb, Mississippi
2. Monterey, California
3. Berlin, Germany
4. Fayetteville, North Carolina
5. Winterville, North Carolina

6 Random Things:
1. I believe in the intuition of women and particularly mothers.
2. I hate hospitals.
3. I love incredibly soft, high thread count, 100% cotton sheets.
4. I have a buckwheat pillow that I cannot sleep without.
5. My children have taught me more about my self than I could have ever imagined.
6. I love to make things, from knitting to wood working.

I am queen of impulse shopping! That's a great one!!

And I whole heartedly agree with the first two random tidbits about yourself...though it's odd you would hate hospitals after being a labor and delivery nurse...that scares me. ;)

It's always interesting to hear a nurse's perspective! I have become much more skeptical of doctors now though. I naively used to take their word as fact, but after that experience I've learned to ask LOTS of questions!!
